Co-Location
Co-location allows you to house your servers in one of our datacentre facilities across the country. Because datacentres are custom built they offer a higher level of uptime compared to a typical server room. Servers can be connected to both the internet at high speeds and/or back to your office via a Private IP or Dark Fibre link.
Power
Power is provided to all racks via 15A A+B redundant feeds from an uninterruptable power supply (UPS). In the event of an external mains power failure servers run on backup batteries until the building generator is able to start. As power is fed through the batteries before reaching the servers the sine wave output is more consistent then mains power leading to improved longevity in server equipment.
Cooling
Cooling units keep servers running at a consistent temperature (typically 22 degrees) and maintains an acceptable level of humidity. The end result is the mitigation of failure from hardware overheating or temperature shocks. Cooling units are always at least redundant to one failure (N+1) and often able to be replaced rapidly.
Security
Every datacentre site is secured with access card control and monitored by CCTV. Every entrance to the facility is recorded by time and camera image. Unauthorised access is responded to immediately by contracted security guards to keep your servers secure.
Monitoring
The power, cooling and networking of our datacentre sites is monitored by our operations team around the clock.
Wide Area Networking (WAN)
Server infrastructure no matter how powerful is always limited by the bandwidth between it and the end user. Spartan IT can provide secure high speed links from anywhere in Australia at speeds in excess of 100mbps. Internet facing infrastructure is connected to our high speed transit backbone for the best user experience worldwide.
